Frequently Asked Questions
What is the status of the product?
Beta, currently FreeSpin3D™ is in its beta phase.

How much does it cost?
Nothing, during the beta phase it is totally free for your use and benefit.

Can I sell or distribute the content that I develop with FreeSpin3D ?
Yes, FreeSpin’s “vocation” is to enable all of the Flash community to offer commercial grade 3D and for them to open our eyes to a world of new creativity and content offerings.

Are any strings attached regarding the content I develop?
No, we promise we will not come knocking on your door the moment the product finishes its beta phase and goes commercial, check out the License Agreement for more details.

I am a Flash designer not a developer or programmer!
Welcome, FreeSpin3D was developed with both Flash communities in mind. The Creative flashers can simply use the familiar Timeline to create 3D content, and the code savvy developers can delve deeper - much deeper and even augment the 3D API with their own ideas such as, new behaviors, physics, and actions.

I have a question!
Just the one? We made some resources available for that:

If you still need us, we are here to assist – support[AT]freespin3d.com.

Is FreeSpin3D open source?
No, FreeSpin3D™ is based on patented algorithms, processes and innovations that enable developers to produce and deliver commercial grade content.

What do you mean by commercial grade?
Stable, supported and enables the correct representation of the vast majority (if not all) of 3D models and scenes – e.g. without disappearing polygons and/or flawed sorting.

Can I use the 3D (MDF) files in other platforms – Flash Lite, Java, or Silverlight?
Not yet, our underlying technology (OneLayer 3D™) can and will enable other technologies in the future to come.

Can I use my MAYA/LightWave/ SketchUp 3D models?
